Meet Dr. Jessica S. Lee

Dr. Lee is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, fellowship trained in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies and earned a bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. She continued her education at Columbia University, where she pursued a dual degree DDS/MA program, earning a dental degree in the top of her class from the College of Dental Medicine and a master of arts degree in dental education from Teachers College.
Dr. Lee went on to obtain her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, after which she completed an internship in general surgery and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at NYU Langone Health/Bellevue Hospital Center/NYU College of Dentistry and also served as chief resident during her final year.
Following residency, Dr. Lee completed a fellowship in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery at Women & Children’s Hospital at Charleston Area Medical Center, which is affiliated with one of only two level IV neonatal intensive care units in the state of West Virginia.
Dr. Lee practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery for children and adults, including orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, complex craniomaxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, distraction osteogenesis, dentoalveolar surgery (wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, dental implants), outpatient sedation/anesthesia and the management of benign craniofacial pathology and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
Her clinical area of expertise lies in the evaluation and management of congenital and acquired facial differences from infancy to adulthood, including cleft lip and palate, Pierre Robin sequence, craniomaxillary trauma, craniofacial anomalies including craniosynostosis, plagiocephaly, craniofacial microsomia and dentofacial anomalies requiring orthognathic surgery.
Recognizing the nuances of each patient’s medical and surgical needs, Dr. Lee is committed to providing personalized care for her patients and is passionate about advocating for her patients’ best interests to develop an open and trusting relationship. She is also committed to providing the most up-to-date and state-of-the-art surgical care, including virtual surgical planning, to ensure the safest and most predictable surgical outcomes for her patients.

Dr. Lee holds operating privileges at Morristown Medical Center and serves as a volunteer surgeon on the multi-disciplinary New Jersey Craniofacial Team. Dr. Lee has a special interest in the area of global oral and maxillofacial surgery and continues to provide care for children and adults as a volunteer surgeon several times a year in underserved communities around the globe, including Bangladesh, Cambodia and Guatemala. She is fluent in English and Korean.
